Saving money...No more groomers

Love it! Has all the tools you need to groom your dogs fur. I haven't been back to the groomers since. In this bad economy we can all do things to save money. My purchase on this was less than the cost of taking my 20 lb cockapoo to the groomers on one visit. I've since used it numerous times. I know I saved so much money. Just a little tip, if you are unsure how to groom your pet you can youtube it and they will show you. Not to mention there is a "HOW TO" cd enclosed with this set. My friend who also has a cockapoo was impressed with my dogs cut and is now considering buying a set of her own. Her only fear is she is not sure how well she'll trim her dog. Tell you this- You get better every time! The more you do it, the better you get at it. Trust yourself. It's not bad at all. Even your dog will get used to it.

Good product for a good price!

I have a black retriever/lab mix. He has the most thickest hair I have ever seen, not closeto a chow dog, but pretty close. This groomer really worked on his fur, although we did have to trim him with scissors first because my dog's fur is pretty think. The deshedder is also a good product, my dogs didn't seem to mind it since it gave them a massage as well. The video that this groomer kit has does not help, it is for poodles and little dogs. Very satisfied with my purchase.

How fun

I bought this for grooming my maltipoo. My con is the blade did get hot while trimming. My dog is little, & I wasn't able to complete my trimming without stopping to let the blade cool off. Solution is they sell a cooling spray but I did not see that when I purchased this. I would imagine this is a problem with all trimmers...so, make sure you purchase a cooling spray. I will say the deshedding brush is AMAZING...just like the videos posted. I used it on a husky mix & a chipin & it just takes so much hair off. I could sit there for over an hour brushing still removing hair. Afterwards, the dogs were so shiny & soft. The vibrations did not scare them either. I am sure you will love this product. When compared to buying in the store, this is a great deal. I love AMAZON!

Good

I am very happy with the Andis trimmer. It seems to have a strong motor and is pretty easy to hold. It's also nice to have the variety of attachments that came with it. The DVD that comes with it was very disappointing however, because it only showed clipping poodles and schnauzers. I have a St. Bernard and long haired cats. A little instruction on the longer haired breeds would have been more helpful. Also using the deshedding tool should have been illustrated.

Great for the price

A bit louder than I had hoped. My dog wasn't too happy with it but it got the job done. My dog is a bit cranky when he gets groomed no matter what I use. The included furminator-like product is okay but I think the real furminator is better. My cat didn't love or hate the vibration included on this one.
