Must Have for any Dog with Thick Coat

Wow - This thing is amazing. It pulls out yucky, dense hair that you didn't even know was on the dog. The best part is there seems to be no discomfort for the dog with this brush/rake. I actually think my dog enjoyed being groomed with this item. My only advice is to have a bag next to you as soon as you start brushing because you will need someplace immediately to put all the hair you will be pulling out. I saved myself a trip to the groomers for sure. I actually rate this double five stars. Fabulous product. As a note, my dog is a chow-shepherd mix.

Not as good as Some

I bought this and the Furminater as someone reviewed this as better for my Husky Its not it did not take any fur out as compared to the other and was a waste of money.

Best Grooming Tool I Have Ever Used!!!

This grooming undercoat rake is the easiest most effective grooming tool that I have ever used. In fact I am so impressed by its effectiveness it has inspired me to write my first review ever. I was amazed and thrilled, yes thrilled, the first time I brushed my Great Pyrenees with this rake. The amount of hair removed was amazing and his coat was shiny and smooth after just one use. Any matting was no match for this rake. My dog was not tortured by pulling and harsh brushing, the rotating rake just glides through the hair. I would recommend this tool to anyone with a medium to giant breed dog, which has a medium to long coat. The only reason I do not suggest it for a small breed is because the rake is bigger than what might be effective on a smaller dog; my Shih Tzu was overtaken by the size of tool.

I tried this product due to the great reviews - and WOW. The undercoat on my Australian shepherds came out in gobs. Best of all, the dogs liked it much better than the wire slicker I was using on them. It also removes burrs from their fur without pulling.

My dogs are looking like I had them groomed. I was amazed at the amount of hair that came out of them with very little effort.

Word of warning, however: Don't even try to use this rake while inside the house. The undercoat comes out in puffs, like dandelion fluff, and goes everywhere. The good side to this is that the fur does not stick in the rake, and the rake can be cleaned with a quick shake.

This is an excellent product!

We love this brush and so does our Golden Retriever. He never allowed us to brush his tail before, but now he can't get enough of this brush. We like that this brush gently takes out the undercoat on our dog's legs and tail. And it looks like we actually had him groomed when we just brushed him for a few minutes. We used to be embarrassed walking him around the neighborhood because the previous brush we used just pulled his hair and didn't really groom his coat. Now he's the best looking Golden Retriever in the neighborhood! Thanks to everyone for your prior reviews. They really did help with our selection.
